What we can offer

What we can offer

By registering on this website, Providers can advertise their volunteer opportunities to students who are looking to volunteer.

Part of the University's mission is to “provide all its students and staff with the education, skills, support and motivation to enable them to develop as confident world citizens and successfully to serve and improve the global communities within which they live and work”.

Recruiting a student volunteer from the University of Chester means that not only will you be giving students the opportunity to develop a range of skills but you will also be recruiting students who want to serve and improve the community around them.

The Volunteering and Mentoring team are on hand to offer help and guidance to our Providers. We can also meet with a representative from your organisation to discuss your volunteer opportunities and how these can be advertised to students.

In addition to our website, we hold an annual Volunteer Fair, giving Providers the opportunity to meet interested students and talk about the benefits their volunteer opportunity can provide. Every February we also celebrate Student Volunteer week and will be touch with how you can get involved.

At the end of each academic year, recognising the immense time and effort our volunteers give while contributing to the community, we host a Celebration event. In addition to giving UCV Awards for the amount of hours our volunteers have given, Providers are also invited to nominate students for Special Awards: Charity's Choice and University's Choice.
